Started the week with a wonderful surprise - my artwork has been published again. North Light Books has published another Zen Doodle book. The Zen Doodle Coloring Book is a compilation of doodle art from previous publications. The pages are not numbered but one of my pieces from the Zen Doodle Oodles of Doodles book has been enlarged and can be found mid way in the book.
Adult colouring books are all the rage right now. You can find this new book at Chapters-Indigo stores or online as well as at Amazon.ca

I've 'rediscovered' doodling/tangling this month. This 8"x10" piece began as a very smudgy Gelli print that was supposed to have some
stenciling on it. It ended up in my 'reject' pile. Just for fun I started to doodle in the spaces that didn't pick up paint. This didn't seem to 'fix' the mess so I drew some vertical tangle stacks around the doodles. I got out the
coloured pencils & added more colour to the white/smudgy areas &
played with some shading. Adding more colour is something I'm really enjoying lately. This is so unlike my usual black, white & grey. I posted this piece in a Facebook group I belong to (Zentangle: Stacked and Tangled) and through the comments was reminded that there are no 'rejects'. Lesson learned: everything is a work in progress.

No excuses - I just don't find (or make) time to update the blog. Often I don't feel like I have anything to post. That in it's self is a whole other problem
The 2nd ZenDoodle book, Oodles of Doodles, by North Light has been published. I'm thrilled to be included as a contributor once again. This time I've got three pages. The artwork is not my best (or worst) but it meets the book's intention of letting the reading know what inspires me and how I use that inspiration. I will post my pages on an art page within the blog as soon as I receive digital copies from the publisher.
Today's art plan is to work on a few ongoing projects and decide what to post next. I really do aim to post more regularly. :)
